This
adapter will allow you to use HDMI cables with the Mini-DVI port found
on some laptop computers. Useful for connecting any HDMI equipped
display, including most HDTV's, projectors and digital monitors.
The
Mini-DVI to HDMI Adapter is designed for use with the iMac (Intel Core
Duo), MacBook, and 12-inch PowerBook G4. Connect the adapter to the
Mini-DVI port of the computer and the HDMI end of the adapter to an
external HDTV or projector.You can use this cable in both video
mirroring and extended desktop modes.
The male Mini-DVI to female
HDMI Adapter can also be used in combination with the Apple DVI to ADC
adapter to support Apple flat panel Studio or Cinema Displays.

Note:
- The is an OEM (THIRD PARTY) product, NOT ORIGINAL Apple product.

There are no audio signals on the Mini-DVI connector. You'll have to
run a separate audio cable from the iMac's audio output to the TV.
Please note only digital video is carried over DVI interface. Audio will
not be pass to HDMI.
