If
you've ever had your computer lock up on you, spontaneously reboot, and
other peripherals stop functioning on your PC, a likely source is the
power supply. But how do you test if you power supply is faulty? Well
you could try another power supply, or even easier you could use this
Power Supply Tester. This handy little gadget lets you test your power
supply by hooking it up to the tester and in moments the tester will
show the results if it's faulty or not.
General FEATURE(S):
- Testing is as easy as unplugging your power supply from the motherboard and connecting the tester to it.
Procedures:
- Turn on your Power supply
- Plug in your 24 pin power supply connector to mini tester
- Check LED light if On or OFF (+5V, +12V, +3.3V, -5V, -12V, +5VSB, PG)
- Plug HDD connector, check +12V, +5V
- Remove HDD, Plug P4 (P6 / P8) connector, check +12V
- Remote P4 (P6/ P8) connector, plug Floppy connector, check +12V, +5V
- Remove Floppy Connector, plug SATA connector, check +12V, +5V, +3.3V
